In Swiss Wrestling, More Than a Tradition, what matters is not only what is drawn. Equally important is what remains undrawn. The white of the paper, the pauses, the absences — they carry meaning as strongly as the line itself.

Before it became a competitive sport, Swiss wrestling was first and foremost a village festival. Under the tents and on the sawdust, wrestlers face one another with strength and respect, surrounded by families who share meals, songs, and stories.

Swiss Wrestling, More Than a Tradition will feature around twenty graphite drawings dedicated to Schwingen, Switzerland’s national sport — not only an athletic contest, but a living cultural practice.
