Swiss Wrestling, More Than a Tradition — Exhibition at Galerie du Pressoir

Swiss Wrestling, More Than a Tradition will feature around twenty graphite drawings dedicated to Schwingen, Switzerland’s national sport — not only an athletic contest, but a living cultural practice.

My work follows what I call narrative realism. Each drawing is built slowly, layer upon layer, where silence, material, and texture carry as much meaning as line and shadow. In this project, I wanted to honor the wrestlers not only as athletes but as bearers of memory and dignity.

Through these portraits, I aim to witness a tradition that bridges generations — deeply rooted in history, yet fully alive today.
